It was a nice, peaceful day at the playa, and a few days had passed since the Tournament a few days ago...
And like most normal days like this, Makoto was at the Playa, this time he was lying down on a bench.
"Okay..." Said Makoto. "I got about 2 hours of Homework, it's 12 P.M. now... I got pletnty of time to chill out before havign to do it!" Said Makoto, smiling...
To have it ruined by a kid throwing a rock at him.
"OW! You again!?" Said Makoto, starting to run over. "Get back here you little brat!" He said, not looking were he was running.

Adam's plane had landed on schedule at Domino City. Having slept on the plane overnight from the U.S., he felt ready for anything. Leaving the airport, he explored the city and ended up in some sort of plaza. Hmm... looks like as good a place as any to start, he thought as he looked around the plaza from under the rim of his baseball cap. For being the largest dueling city in the world, he didn't see much action at the time. There was, however, someone chasing a little kid around. For a moment, Adam felt like intervening, but then he noticed that the kid was laughing and having fun. It was probably nothing. Walking over to a bench, he sat down, closed his eyes, and listened. During this time, he heard sounds that he rarely heard in the U.S. his home country was just too busy and hectic. After a moment, he opened his eyes and opened up his backpack, the only thing that he had brought with him. Opening up the pouches one at a time, he checked that he had everything with him, his duel disk and a few spare sets of clothes in the largest pouch, a laptop in the medium pouch, and the smallest pouch held his wallet, cell phone, and deck box. Taking out the navy blue deck box, he clipped it onto his belt via a clip on the back of the box. Sure, it didn't seem like there was much going on right now, but there was no harm in being ready.

"Little brat, why do you keep throwing those rocks!?" Said Makoto, keepign the chase up.
"Cuz it's fun!" Said the kid. He stopped, bend down, and threw another one, right at Makoto's forhead.
"O-ow!" He yelled, as he fell down, his deck box opening in the progress."M-my cards!" He said, scramblign to tryign to get them before the wind blew them away.

The wind rushed through Axel's long, black hair as it blew out of his eyes and onto the base of his neck. He wore his standard clothing which gave him the appearance of a tough guy. It consisted of a grey hoodie unzipped slightly to reveal a black t-shirt, tight grey jeans and black and white sneakers. He wore fingerless black leather gloves which added to his image with a scowl on his face to make him even scarier. He was in a particularly bad mood seeing how he missed his tournament where he could have eliminated tons of duelists. Placing a hand in his hair, Axel gave out a long dreaded sigh as the sound of laughter and shouting interrupted his thoughts. Smirking, Axel ran over ad kneeled over the cards as he was about to rip them up, that it until he saw Adam.
"Hn, what's a hack like you doing here?"

"H-h-h-hey!" said Makoto, looking over. "D-Don't rip those!"

Adam watched as the guy got hit with another rock and tripped, his cards flying everywhere. Hmph, looks like there are some duelists around after all. Getting up, he picked up some of the guy's cards and was about to hand them back when he heard a voice. It sounded like it was being directed at him. Turning to look for the source, he recognized a familiar face, although one he hadn't wanted to see. Staring him right in the face was Axel, his final opponent in the U.S. National Championship. Back then, he remembered how the two of them had gone at it with everything they had for the title of U.S. Champion. Since then, he had heard rumors about Alex how he had been going around burning people's decks when he won. "I should be asking the same thing," he replied as his hand absent-mindedly tapped against his deck box. "I came here to duel with the other champs, the big-leaguers. Shouldn't you be back in the states preparing for the Nationals next year?" Once again, he motioned to give the guy back the cards that he had picked up. "Why don't you just give the guy back his cards and go about your business. I don't want to have to beat you again just so that he gets his deck back undamaged."

"As if you'd beat anyone here, you barely beat me. Anyway I'm sure my team could handle it without me there's no real competition left over there."
Axel said arrogantly as he stood up and walked away from the cards not bothering to pick any of them up. It was his style, always taking never giving and never, ever sympathizing with other duelists. For all he knew anyone of them could have caused Sasuke's death which was why he burned decks after winning. The fact that he also desired to be the best, the very best caused him to do this as well, it was really unfortunate. An arrogant smirk on his face, Axel couldn't help but snicker as the kid picked up his cards. He caught a glimpse at a few of the cards, Satellite Cannon, Big Saturn, and Fairy Meteor Crush. He had to admit inside his head that they were...'decent' cards. Unfortunately what came out of his mouth never matched what was in his head.
"Do you seriously call that a deck, well I guess it can't be anybody from this backwater town who defeated him. There isn't even a single good duelist from here I bet."

"Hey!" Snapped Makoto. "What was that for!?"
"Makoto!" Yelled a voice from the distant, casusing him to look over. "Oh, hi Ami." He said, dropping a few more cards in the progress ("damn!")- also causing his ace card to be in the open.
'The Agent of Humanity- Earth'
"Huh? These friends of yours, Makoto?" Said Ami, not recognizing the Duelists at first glance.
"I just met them... and hate this one." Said Makoto, looking at Axel.
"Hey wait a minute..." Said Ami. "You two..... your the American Champ! And your the runner up!"

As a girl, supposedly named Ami, arrived on the scene, Adam took a single glance before turning his attention back to Axel. "So, exactly what ARE you doing here then?" he asked. "If this is such a backwater town, then why did you make the trip out here?" He wasn't intentionally ignoring everyone else, but if what he had heard about Axel was true, then he couldn't afford to take his attention off him. "And besides, if there are no good duelists here, why haven't you dueled anyone yet. I'm sure that if you had, I would have heard something about it."

Axel's eye twitched venomously at being called 'runner-up'. It was true he did come in second place, but he was no runner up, he simply decided not to win...whatever helped his ego at night. Now that there were a decent number of people, a girl, and annoying guy with rocks, one softie and a total hack of a duelist, he could really get to some ground work and make them tell him about the duelists here. Reaching downward ad grasping the black and red duel box holder attached to his belt, Axel let out a grin as he spoke.
"Wallace, I'm here to get information I frankly don't care about anything else going on around here. Hell if Domino city brusn to the ground I wouldn't care, just less duelists. I'm looking for one duelist in particular who was last seen over here and was skilled enough to beat the guy who taught me. Now why don't any of you make yourselves useful and provide me information or else."

"That's a hell of an outlook on life," said Adam as his hand rested on his deck box. It almost looked like an old western stare-down and it looked like they were pull out their decks like revolvers. "And y'know, if you weren't going around burning up decks... and if I actually knew anything, I might be inclined to tell you, but I've got no info on whatever you're talking about."

"hey, Ami, were is everyone? The place is more empty then normal..."
"That's why I was tryign to find you!" Said Ami. "There are two people dueling over there, in the east. One of them was the finalist in that tournament from the other day..."
"Silver?"
"No, the other one."
"Oh yeah, the guy with the Vamp. Deck." Said Makoto. "And who beat your master? How are we supposed to help without knowing anything!?"

As Axel and Adam stared down at each other, Axel paid attention to what the others were saying. It was something Sasuke taught him, to always know your surroundings and to focus on everything at once, which was often quite taxing. As they stared one could feel the intensity in the air, of this were a cartoon electricity would be shooting from their eyes. When it seemed that all hell would break loose, Axel ended up sneezing violently and ended up backing away, thus having Adam win the stare down via technicality.
"Ugh, if I knew anything why would I ask anyone of you third rate duelists. Fine why don't we start by A: going to see this Silver or whoever has this Vampire deck or B: telling em whose the best duelist in the area."
Axel said angrily, crossing both arms and glaring at the girl named Ami, he figured that she'd fold under his stare.

"Yeah, best to let them know that I'm here," replied Adam to Axel's comment. With the staredown pretty much over and done with, he took his attention off Axel a little bit, finally turning to look at Ami. In an attempt to keep her from facing Axel's intimidating stare, he extended his hand. "Hi, name's Adam, Adam Wallace. I'm surprised that I'm well known even here."

"My name is Ami, nice to meet you." Said Ami, shaking his hand, still a bit intemidated by Axel's state.
"And I"m Makoto. Makoto Takahashi!" Said the 'Space Duelist', grinning.
"The two people should be dueling East from here. And remember Makoto, that wasn't his REAL deck, non of the people in the tournament were using rela decks, just a bunch of decks made from booster packs, remember?"
"... Oh yeah." Said Makoto. "Common, let's go!"

"Tell me do you all have A.D.D or is everyone here just a bunch of complete idiots like Adam is."
Axel said laughing out loud before stopping abruptly to glare at Adam. It probably seemed really weird to Makato and Ami but who cared, he was just after one thing and one thing only, the duelist skilled enough to beat his sensei. Uncrossing his arms, Axel lifted the hood on his sweater and placed it over his head to give himself a more mysterious look. Walking towards Makato and Ami, Axel gave a slight smirk and whispered for them to hurry up and lead the way. He'd tolerate Adam and the other two nuisances if it meant to see the duelists in this area go at it.

Adam let out a sigh as he took Axel's comment. They were all going to the same place so he'd refrain from making more witty remarks to Axel's ranting. "Yeah, lets get going," he said. After all, he had come here to duel with the best of them. Now was his chance to introduce himself to the dueling community in Domino City.

"... Well actually I have A.D.H.D." Said Makoto.
Ami puffed her cheeks. "Jerk face..." She said. "Whatever. Lets go!"
(about a few minutes later)
"Good, it didn't end yet." Said Ami, looking at the field.
The duelist was Winner Schnieder. On his field he has two 'Second Coin Flip' cards, and one 'Vengeful Bog Spirit' card. The most ntoable thing about the field was his two cards-
'Arcana Force EX - The Dark Ruler' and 'Arcana Force Ex - the Light Ruler'
On the other player's field, he had all his monster in Defense Position. Three 'Destiny Hero-Defender's, 'Exxod, Master of the Guard', and two 'Millenium Sheild's. He had three 'Yellow Luster Sheilds' in total increasing all his monster's defense by 900 points, Raregold Armor equipped to Exxod (leaving it as the only monster Winner could attack), and Chrous of Sacntuary as the feild spell- increasign all their defense points by yet another 500 points.

As the arrived at the scene of the duel, Adam crossed his arms and watched with interest. The one duelist, Winner Schnieder, he had heard of. He was a pro duelist, but he didn't recognize the other duelist. At this point, it didn't really matter. As far as he could tell, Winner had this duel in the bag. The question was, what would happen afterward? With the U.S. champ there and another duelist who dueled to burn decks, something was bound to happen after this duel was over.

"who's winning?" Asked Makoto.
"Well..." Said Ami. "Winner has more life points, but his deck is almost out of cards. In the begining, taht other guy milled his deck out a lot, and with those Destiny Hero- Defenders, he'll have to draw 4 cards per turn, and he only has about 6 cards left..."
"So unless he draws exactly what he needs during his next turn, he's toast?"
"Yup."

"Well then, let's see what those last six cards are and see if they'll help him win," said Adam even though he didn't turn his head to take his attention away from the duel. He hadn't noticed it before, but now he saw that Winner's deck was getting critically small. "If he's really a pro duelist, I'd expect him to have an ace in the hole somewhere."

"It doesn't matter which one of them wins, I plan on taking out both the winner and the loser of this duel. Say, any of you plan on helping, I'd be killing two birds with a single stone."
Axel exclaimed too vigorously to be a joke. It was all too clear what he was planning on doing now, he was going to duel either the winner and the loser to see which one of them was more skilled. Looking up, Axel pondered on how he could defeat the two monsters which were clearly more powerful than his cards in terms of attacking capabilities. Although despite Axel's nature, in duels he was calculating and never one for brute tactics, he once was but his sensei taught him better. He was mainly a swarming type of duelist and always focused on wiping out any strategy his opponent could conjure up, an unfortunate thing he shared with a few duelists he disliked. Crossing both arms, Axel muttered low eough for everyone to hear.
"Winner Schneider, will not win this duel at all."

"Your move!" Said Winner's opponent, laughing. "Like it matters though, your almost out of cards!" "Let's see. I still ahve six cards left. This could be my lucky draw." "Whatever, just draw!" "Fine." Said Winner, closing his eyes, and drawing. He then entered his standby phase, with the three Defenders causing him to draw 3 more cards, taking his deck count to 2. He then opened his eyes, they widened, then he let out a quite chuckle. "Whats so funny!?" "Don't you had bad shuffles? When you never draw your best cards? ... I can't beleive it actually saved me, it protected it form your milling. "Heh?" "I summon my favorite and most deadly card, The Gambler of Legend!" Said Winner smirking. "Time for me to end this duel!" Makoto then blinked. "Wow... that card and him kind of look alike." yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Gambler_of_Legend

"Well well well... Care to retract that claim, Axel?" asked Adam. "With those two Second Coin Tosses, he can redo the coin flip twice. I think he's got this duel in the bag. At least the odds are in his favor now." He couldn't help but notice what Makoto had pointed out though. Winner and the Gambler of Legend did look similar. "And it depends, Axel, and I'm thinking no. I have a feeling I know exactly what you'll do if you win and If I was in a duel, I'd be unable to come and stop the burning of the deck."

"Hmph, sometimes if I like the cards I'll sell them.....although I'd never do that with this guy's deck. Anyone who would need to rely on luck to win a duel against an amateur shouldn't even be called a pro in my esteemed opinion. Anyways who said I was asking you Wallace, I was asking er Makamo and Ati. So how about it, why don't we show them true duelists."
Axel said forgetting their names already. Well he only needed one of them to duel and another one's duel disk, he had forgotten his at the hotel. He'd have to make sure Adam didn't duel however as he would more than likely end his fast enough so Axel won't even get the time to burn/steal and sell the opponents deck.

"Gambler, flip!"
THe Gambler of Legend then flipped his coin.
The first result was Heads.
The next was also Heads.
Then tails.
"Hmm... I don't like that last one. LEt's have a re-do, Second Coin flip activate!" Said Winner shouting, as he flipped again...
This time, it was heads.
"Ugh!" Shouted the other duelist, as his incredible 5 Defense cards were destroyed. "M-my defense!"
"Now, Aracana Force EX- The Dark Ruler! ATTACK!" He shouted, as the monster depleated the last of his opponent's life points.
"And that's the game!" Said Makoto, watching. "Nice strategy, controling those coin flips like that... Hey, my name is Makoto!"
"And my name is AMI! Not Ati, Ami!"
"And are you saying you want to take me on?" Asked Makoto, looking at Axel.

"Well, if your so-called 'esteemed' opinion is so great, why don't you try taking someone on," suggested Adam in a bored monotone as he looked to the side at Axel. Taking off his backpack, he pulled his own duel disk out, a silver machine with shiny blue trimming and shiny red trimm around the life point counter. It was the duel disk he had won from the U.S. championship. "Personally, I'm tired of walking past several duelists and not having my deck ready."

Post by axel on Jan 25, 2009 9:05:45 GMT -5
"Sure so who will it be Makato, you, or that Winner guy....well without my duel disk it'd be a none of the above choice huh Adam."
Axel said, pointing out the fact that he didn't have his duel disk anywhere on his body nor could he hide it anywhere. Unless there was a duel arena anywhere nearby with the old, outdated models of dueling then Axel would have to sit this one out. The proverbial light bulb lit up inside his head as he quickly walked away from the group and towards the guy who lost the duel. With a swift punch to the tempo, he had the man out cold before removing the duel disk from his arm and taking out the deck. With a look of disdain on his face he carefully placed the duel disk on the floor while going through the deck for any good cards. After finding a Cyber Dragon, Super Polymerization and a Mirror Force, he pocketed those three cards before reaching inside his hoodie pocket for his classic lighter. And before anyone could even realize or stop what he was doing, the lighter was lit and placed under the deck which quickly grew ablaze. Dropping the now scorched and useless cards which will soon be nothing but a pile of ash, Axel picked the duel disk up off the floor and placed it on his left arm and placed his deck in there. Walking back towards the group with a smug look on his face, he looked at Makato and Adam.
"Now I say we either have a 3 way or a 4 way duel if that Winner guy feels like joining in on the game."

As Axel smugly looked at him, Adam glared back with a no-nonsense stare. So, the rumors were true and it was worse than he thought. He had heard the Axel burned a person's deck after he won a duel. It appeared though, that he simply burned the deck as soon as he got his hands on it. Unfortunately, he had been in shock while Axel was looking through the cards. Otherwise, he would've stopped him. As he watched the person's deck burn away into ashes, he thought he could hear a scream of pain. As he looked around though, he realized that the sound was coming from the burning deck. As the last card was burned and the fire stopped, Adam flipped open his deck box and pulled out his deck, placing it in his duel disk. "Alright, Axel, you just crossed the line. As a pro duelist, I won't tolerate your disrespect for other duelists anymore. Drops those cards in your pocket and activate your stolen duel disk," he ordered.

"Heh, I thought you would never ask, if I knew I could get you riled up by burning away a deck that shouldn't even have Konami printed on it, well I would have done so alot sooner."
Axel said, confident in the fact that things may be different this time around. His deck already shuffled, he quickly activated the duel disk with 8000 life points on board. Drawing 5 cards, he grinned as he motioned for Adam to make the first move. Behind them, a figure cast in shadow and wearing a business suit with keep a careful eye on both of the duelists. One of them has to have the potential to unleash psychic abilities. I'd prefer it not to be that Wade character, he's too much trouble. The Makato and Adam guy, those two I'll keep a closer eye on. The figure thought to himself, as he stepped into the light and revealed himself to be Luke Rizwall, C.E.O of Genetic Tech and GenoDuels. A gentle smile on his face, he pulled into a white limousine which was in front of the building where he was hiding in the alley. He would watch the rest of the duel in comfort.
